The Hierarchy of Life
Christian
Conservatism
Liberalism
Atheism
Forget
the classical definitions of the below terms as defined in an encyclopedia
or dictionary.
These terms are based on the what is relevant today.
This is the true hierarchy of life.
Christian
The belief that
Jesus Christ is the son of God and living your life in accordance with
his teachings. The belief that your actions not only have long term consequences
in this life- but have eternal consequences in your next life.
A belief that the Bible is God's holy word. The ultimate goal of a Christian
is not within a secular world, but in the salvation of your soul. A Christian
life also incorporates all the values of conservatism.
Conservatism
A belief in
traditional values such as God, family, marriage, personal
responsibility, education, hard work, patriotism and
minimal government. It is having moral values, respect for law and
treating all others as you wish to be treated. It is acting with
dignity at all times- because character matters. Conservatives live life
with a long term perspective and goal in mind. They believe in making
sacrifices today for a better future and that individual freedoms are
not absolute depending on how they impact others.
Liberalism
The rejection
of traditional values such a God, marriage, hard work, education and discipline.
It is the non-belief in personal responsibility with a focus on life with
a short term view and goals. It is a secular perspective of the world
with the mentality of that if it feels good than do it. It is the belief
that individual freedoms are more important than how those freedoms may
impact others. Liberalism can be summed up this way- you don't have to
be responsible to yourself - but those who are - have to be responsible
for everyone else.
Atheism
One
who disbelieves or denies the existence of God. There is no consequence
for immoral actions. It is the attitude to live for now without any consequence
of your actions on a spiritual level.
Please note there is no individualism (independent) in
the hierarchy. It is because there is no such thing as a true independent.
People may classify themselves as independent- however- their beliefs
are either conservative or not. Everyone has a belief on higher taxes,
abortion, welfare.....
